A tall black dresser with glass knobs

September 20, 2013 By Reeves @ The Weathered Door 30 Comments

This dresser is the matching tall piece to the other black dresser with glass knobs I did not too long ago. Before it was looking crazy in its wood state. Just too much going on.

This one needed the veneer to be removed from the top since it had started peeling and warping. I was going to pass on it because of the veneer problems, but my mom offered to do it for me. 🙂 As usual the whole thing got sanded, wiped down and cleaned, then painted in a satin black paint. It took 3 coats to get total coverage everywhere and once it had cured I finished it with clear wax. Once again the glass knobs cam from Hobby Lobby and I just love how they look with the black. Such a great pair! The black paint gave both of the dressers a new look that is so much better that the before.

And our puppy Granger hung out with me while I took picture as well tried to chew on things 😉
